After lunch the new group met again and now they worked in small groups. As we had so many women showing up we had to get an extra translator. That was Akweline, a young woman who lives and works on TanzaNice Farm. Today’s assignment was to make the first definition of the product, promotion, price and place. The women did very well and some of them had even prepared for the class from home. The women were very enthusiastic and they even added new ideas, which they wanted to work on. One of the new ideas was to establish an orphanages.
On our way home we visited a young single mother with three children, two year old twins and a seven year old boy. We also visited one of the women that is attending our course. In Tanzania there is no welfare system that supports single mothers so they have to depend on their families and friends. Despite the hard circumstances, the women are hard working, brave and always smiling.
